Study Tours

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

The Apostle Paul was an amazing Biblical teacher. He understood the need to correctly understand and apply the word of God. He stated that transformation came through the renewing of the mind.

Most of his teaching was deeply rooted in its Hebraic roots. Sadly today, much of the western Church has been deprived of these Hebraic roots and how they effect our understand of the Bible.  Church leaders, Bible students and congregants alike, have for too long, been taught from a Greek and Roman perspective.

While I do not agree with those who advocate the need for every believer to walk a 'Torah-observant' life. I do believe that learning to understand the Scriptures from a Hebrew mind-set is vital for a correct application of a significant proportion of the Bible. Taking time to visit the land and study the word of God right where it all happened can be a powerful aid to achieving this goal.

Focus on Israel has a rich history in leading pilgrimage tours, but we are now extending this service. It is our intention to provide, cost effective educational tours that will include both classroom and field studies. The price will be around £850.00 + flights for an 8 day tour.

These tours will be led by Rev. Mark Baker, who has a reputation and skill for applying a Hebraic perspective to the Scriptures, with a fresh and unique approach. If you are interested in joining one of these tours.

In October/November 2017, he will be conducting a tour which will focus on the events surrounding the first days in the life of Jesus'. The studies will cover subjects such as:

a) The Hebraic perspective of The Messiah

b) When was Jesus born?

c) Who were the Shepherds?

d) Who were the Magi?

f) Why do we celebrate Christmas in December?

g) The birth of Jesus

h) The Geneology of Jesus
